Obituary of Fred Garlick
Fred White Garlick, III, age 77, passed away on September 20, 2013 at Stuart, FL.
He was born in Pittsburgh, PA and lived in Chicago, IL graduating from Lane Tech High School. He studied engineering at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL and worked for Grumman Aerospace Engineering Corporation in Stuart. He served with the US Army in Korea as an Artillery Ballistics Meteorologist.
He was the inventor and designer of the "Lobster Inn" and was the proprietor of Garlick Manufacturing.
At the time of his death, he was a member of Covenant Fellowship Baptist Church
He is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Jo Ann Garlick of Stuart, his parents, Fred White Garlick and Kathleen Hauer Garlick of Miami Shores, FL, and a brother, Robert H. Garlick of Wauwatosa, WI. Sister Janet K. Saess of Waukesha, WI
Survivors include his wife Ethel Finucan Garlick of Stuart, brother John H. Garlick, SC, step children, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM in Forest Hills Memorial Chapel of Palm City. Internment will be at 9 AM Friday morning in the Forest Hills Memorial Cemetery.
