Frederic Alan Schulaner, MD died peacefully at home surrounded by family in Port Saint Lucie Florida.
Freddie was born in Newark New Jersey, the eldest son of Mollie and Samuel Schulaner. Brother of Norman (Roberta) of Palm Springs, CA and Ilene of Fort Lee, N.J.
Fred was a proud graduate of Weequahic High School. He went on to Tufts University for both undergraduate and medical school. While studying in MA he met his first wife, Carol Sorin. Carol predeceased him in 2004.
He leaves behind three children, Lisa Azran (David), Rachel Elizabeth and Jennifer Schulaner (Jerry), and four grandchildren, Maya, Dahlia (Woody), Nicole and Sorin. Fred also leaves behind his beloved wife Bonnie Ford Schulaner, one stepdaughter Erin (David) their two children Ryan and Sean, and stepdaughter Megan Ford – deceased.
Dr. Schulaner practiced medicine in Westfield, NJ. He was prominent allergist – immunologist. He loved being a doctor and was beloved by both his patients and his staff. He loved sailing, classical music, traveling the world and spending time with family and friends.
Frederic was a captain in the US Navy and had fond memories of his service and had a lifelong love of learning. Even in retirement he continued to read and study medical journals.
