Obituary of Frederick Drew

Frederick C. Drew, 77, of Palm City, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and had been a resident of Palm City for 9 years, having moved from Glen Head, NY. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served with the 123rd Signal Battalion 3rd Infantry Division. He graduated from John Jay College in New York City, and he received a Master's degree from C.W. Post in Greenvale, NY. Frederick served as a Detective with the New York City Police Department for 24 years. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Ann Drew of Palm City; children, Christopher Drew (Marta) of Ronkonkoma, NY, Timothy Drew of NH, Elizabeth Ciampi (Edward) of Palm City, Daniel Drew (Denise) of Bethpage, NY and Catherine Scalere (Michael) of Rockville Centre, NY; 11 grandchildren; sister, Belinda Ganser, of Norwalk, CT and brother, James Drew of New Hyde Park, NY. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Rohe and brother Russell.

Visitation: 5:00 - 7:30PM, Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00AM, Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City.

Interment will take place in South Florida National Veteran's Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL at 1:45PM Thursday.
