Frederick P Hartman, 89, of Palm City, Florida died peacefully in his sleep at his home on November 2, 2023.

A native of the Bronx, NY, Fred and his late wife Fran moved from Springfield, NJ to Palm City 30 years ago where they enjoyed an active life with many friends.

Fred was a graduate of Queens College in New York City where he received his BS degree in Accounting, while also playing baseball and basketball.

He proudly served our country in the US Army, where he attained the rank of specialist 4th class and was honorably discharged in 1958.

Fred was a Certified Public Accountant, in both NY and NJ and prior to his retirement in 1994, he was the CFO of a Wall Street hedge fund and private investment company.

Fred was a highly accomplished duplicate bridge player proudly earning the Diamond Life Master designation from the American Contract Bridge League.  Fred was a deeply loyal NY sports fan, especially the Yankees and the Giants where he was a long time season ticket holder. In his younger days, he was an active sportsman, enjoying running, racquetball and paddleball.

Fred was predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Fran and is survived by his son Rich and his wife Joy of Colts Neck, NJ, his daughter Lisa (Ma) and her husband Michael of Summit, NJ and his grandchildren, Diana (Alex), Gary (Caryn), Matthew, Daniel, Sara, Jake, Ben, Gaby, Joelle and his great grandchildren, Bobby and Zachary all of whom he loved dearly.

A memorial service celebrating Fred's life will be held on Friday, November 10th at 11 am at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, 2001 SW Murphy Road, Palm City, Florida. For additional details about Fred and a Zoom link to the service please visit foresthillspalmcityflorida.com
