Gary J. Marangio, 69, of Stuart Florida, passed away on October 9th after a year battling with cancer.

Gary was born on October 23, 1954, to Anna (Manuto) & Ralph O. Marangio in Jersey City, NJ.

Gary is predeceased by mother Anna, father Ralph O., stepmom Geraldine & stepdaughter Kimberly, stepbrother Douglas Breu.

He is survived by wife Kathee Hinsey Marangio, sister Maryanne Howe, brothers Ralph F. (Cindy), and Fred (Rosena), stepbrothers, Gerald, Darwin, and Fred Breu.

He grew up on Long Island and moved to Florida in 1976. He worked as a DJ until he hired on to Grumman Aerospace Stuart facility as a tool specialist and later as a Manufacturing Engineer. He retired after 38 years of service.

In 1981, Gary met the love of his life Kathee Hinsey Broadhurst. They were married in 1992.

Gary is survived by many loving friends in which he enjoyed going out for lunch or dinner.

Gary enjoyed bowling, Golfing, and riding his Harley, baby. Gary was an avid football and baseball fan. Go METS, Marlins, and the Dolphins.

Memorial Mass will be at St. Lucie Catholic Church 280 SW Prima Vista Blvd, Port St Lucie, FL 34983 on October 22 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Treasure Coast Hospice Stuart Florida, an organization Gary felt strongly about.
