Genevieve McManemon, 94, of Amelia Island, formerly of Stuart, passed away on April 16, 2017. Genevieve was a registered nurse and later worked for the Martin County Health Department until her retirement. A devoted mother and wife, she has lived in Florida since 1975.

She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart for over 35 years, an Eucharistic Minister and volunteered her time in numerous religions and community programs including Hospice.

She is survived by her son, James McManemon, Jr. of Fernandina Beach; daughters, Mary Lue Sexton and Margaret Frances Hannon; sisters, Margaret Flynn, Frances Canning and brother, Joseph McVerry.

Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart at 1:00 pm.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City following Mass.
