Obituary of George Cullen
George Laycock Cullen Jr., died Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Martin Memorial Hospital South in Stuart.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he came to the Treasure Coast in 1978 from Bryn Mawr, PA; moving to Palm City in 1999 from Stuart.
He was a retired Vice President for Strawbridge & Clothier of Philadelphia.
He had attended Peace Presbyterian Church in Stuart.
He was one of the founders of Hospice in Martin County.
He received his Bachelors of Arts degree from Amherst College. He was a Phi Beta Kappa and a member of Chi Psi Fraternity.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Marie Cullen of Palm City; son, Robert LeFort Cullen of Beaufort, SC; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospices, Inc., 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997 or Peace Presbyterian Church, 4881 SE Cove Road, Stuart, FL 34997.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held at Sandhill Cove in the fall.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City. A guest registry may be signed at www.foresthillsfunerals.com
