Obituary of George Fillebrown
George B. Fillebrown, 90, of Stuart, FL, died April 9, 2013 at the Martin Medical Center, Stuart.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he had been a resident of Stuart for 33 years, coming from Mount Vernon, NY.
He was a graduate of Worsham College in Chicago.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Army as a surgical technician
Before retiring he was a sales executive in the paper industry
He was a member of the VFW Post 10132, Hobe Sound, the BPO Elks Stuart-Jensen Lodge 1870, the Loyal Order of Moose Stuart Lodge 1282 and the Commodores of Christian Faith
Survivors include sons, James E. Fillebrown of Hobe Sound, FL and Charles M. Fillebrown of Croton on Hudson, New York; a stepdaughter, Joanne Seminara of Lincolndale, New York; fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives, Jane Fillebrown and Millie Fillebrown; a stepdaughter, Maryann Peckowitz; a stepson, Vic Polito and a sister, Betty Hirt.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on April 13, 2013 at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel with a service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow with military honors provided by the U.S. Army.
