Obituary of George Norton
George T. Norton, 79, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died March 6, 2010 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, Fort Pierce, Florida.
Born in Syracuse, New York, he had lived in Port St. Lucie and Palm City for 7 years coming from Red Bank, New Jersey.
Prior to retirement he was an intelligence officer with the U.S. Army.
He was of the Presbyterian Church. He was a Mason, a Sojourner and a member of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers.
Survivors include his wife Irmgard Norton of Port St. Lucie; sons George N. Norton of Hanover, Pennsylvania and David R. Norton of Hawaii and 3 grandchildren.
SERVICES: There will be a gathering, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on March 27, 2010 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Palm City Chapel. Inurnment will be at 9:00 am Monday April 26, 2010, in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.
