Obituary of George Serke

George Annie Serke, 94, of Stuart, FL, died March 2, 2009 at Palm City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Palm City, FL.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she had lived in Stuart and Palm City for 8 years coming from Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale, FL. She had lived in Florida for 32 years coming from Pittsburgh. Before retiring she was a bookkeeper for Schiller's Pharmacy and the Third Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh. She also had been a deacon at Third Presbyterian. She was a member of Palm City Presbyterian Church, Palm City.

Survivors include a daughter Maureen Zappala and her husband Frank of Stuart ; a grandson, Ralph Roberto and his wife Susan of Palm City and 3 great grandchildren, Nichole Roberto of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Tiffany Steinhof and Jason Steinhof, both of Palm City. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew A. Serke; a sister Jane Barnes and a brother Harry George Serke.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on March 10, 2009 at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Palm City Chapel. There will be a service at 10:00 AM, on March 11, 2009 in the funeral home chapel with Dr. David Anderson of the Palm City Presbyterian Church, officiating. Entombment will follow immediately in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
