George W. Vogeley Jr., 95, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Emerald Healthcare, Port St. Lucie.
Born in Tarentum, Pennsylvania, he had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 35 years coming from Natrona Heights, PA.
During World War II he served in the U. S. Army Air Corps.
Prior to retiring he was a chemical analyst for Allegheny Ludlum Steel Company in Natrona, Pennsylvania for over 40 years. After moving to Florida, he was a security guard for 25 years at Harbor Ridge Yacht and Country Club, Palm City, Florida, retiring at the age of 89.
He was of the Presbyterian Faith and had been a member of Central Presbyterian Church, Tarentum, Pennsylvania. He was very talented, playing multiple musical instruments and had been his wife's loving care giver, until her death.
Survivors include his daughters, Sandra Killian of Fort Pierce, FL and Terri Lynn Marasia and her husband Sam of Sarver, PA; his sons; George D. Vogeley and his wife Sharon of Port St. Lucie, Darrell Vogeley and his wife Linda of Austin, TX, David Vogeley of Fort Pierce, Daniel Vogeley, Gery Vogeley and his wife Jamie of Port St. Lucie; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 2010 and his brother, Howard Vogeley 1995.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, March 31, 2017, at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City, FL. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow immediately in the Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
