Obituary of Gerald Sullivan

Age 61, of Palm City, Florida died on September 21, 2007 at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, FL. Mr. Sullivan was born on September 21, 1946 in New York to Jeremiah Joseph and Anna (De Stefano) Sullivan. He came to this area in June of 2001 after serving for over 30 years as a fourth grade teacher at the Park Avenue Elementary School in Amityville, NY. He was an avid fisherman and was a member of the Quail Creek Plantation in Okeechobee, FL. He loved Disney World and was an avid Yankees and Miami Hurricanes fan. He was also a member of the NRA. Mr. Sullivan was predeceased by his wife Marilyn Sullivan in 1992.

Survivors include his loving daughter Elizabeth Sullivan of Palm City, FL, his companion Susan Cornwell of Jensen Beach, FL, a niece Nicole Orens of Long Island, NY, a nephew Stephen Orens of California, and an aunt Helen Mingrino of Franklin Square, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2007 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1454 SW Mapp Road, Palm City, FL. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a parish Scripture Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Forest Hills Funeral Home, 2001 Murphy Road, Palm City, FL 34990.
