Gerard E. Bruns, 90, of Satellite Beach, Florida, died peacefully at his home on May 31, 2017.

Born in Clintondale, NY, he had been a resident of Florida for 39 years living in Highland Beach and Stuart before moving to Satellite Beach.

He worked as an accountant for IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY and Rochester, MN before retiring after more than 35 years in Boca Raton, FL.

Gerry was an avid tennis player until well into his 70's. He also enjoyed singing and dancing with his family and friends. Now he's dancing with his Jean, the love of his lifetime.

He was preceeded in death by his wife of 57 years, Jean; brothers John and William; sisters Helen, Evelyn, and Dorothy. Survivors include a son Gary (Eileen) of Rochester, MN; a daughter Susan (Mark) of Satellite Beach, FL; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

SERVICES: There will be a memorial service at 6:30pm on September 21, 2017 in the chapel at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Chuch, Indiatlantic, FL.
Inurnment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, Palm City, FL at 11:30am on September 22, 2017.
