Gerard "Jerry" Dennis O'Connor, born December 18, 1956, in Montclair, New Jersey, and passed away on January 20, 2024, in Jensen Beach, Florida. He  was the 6th child of Arthur and Margaret O'Connor.

He attended St. Benedict's Prep and graduated from. St. Peter's Prep, Jersey City.  He moved to California following graduation from Delaware Valley College (now University) and worked as a quality control specialist for DelMonte Foods. He continued a career in the food industry, ultimately specializing in medicinal herbs.

Upon relocating to Martin County, Florida, in 2002, Jerry became a Master Gardener and also worked for the Martin County Parks Department. Jerry loved animals and always had at least one dog.

Jerry is survived by his siblings, Judy O'Connor McDonald (Jack), Donald O'Connor (Eileen) and Dennis O'Connor (Mila). He is also survived by his devoted pets Daisy and Peter.

Siblings who preceded him in death were Peter O'Connor (Honey) & Maureen "Penny" Linehan (Jim).

He will surely be missed as part of our family. We will treasure the many memories of love, laughter & fun.

A private inurnment will take place in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City and a Celebration of Life will be held at Indian Riverside Park, 1707 NE Indian River Drive, Jensen Beach, FL 34957. Date and time are still pending.
