Obituary of Germaine Barton

Germaine Geri I. Barton, 80, died Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at Treasure Coast Hospices in Stuart.

Born in Harrisburg, PA, she has resided in Palm City for two years coming from Islamorada, FL, where she had resided the previous eight and one-half years. She moved to Florida in 1995 from Forked River, NJ where she had resided since 1987.

Prior to retirement she was a Human Resources Administrator for a utilities company.

Prior to her illness, she attended Grace Place in Stuart.

She was an avid painter.

Survivors: Husband of 25 years, John J. Barton of Palm City, FL; daughter, Donna VanZandt of Middletown, PA; son, Thomas Porr of Highspire, PA; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Cunningham.
