Gloria George, formerly of Goshen, New York passed away in Hospice at the age of 90 on March 28, 2021.  Prior to entering Hospice, she was cared for by her husband Delbert George for a period of 2 years following a series of strokes and a heart condition.

She was born on a farm in Wallkill, New York and as a child won many awards during 4-H competition. After schooling in Walden, New York she moved to Boston to pursue a career in Journalism by attending Becker College. Upon graduation she returned home and was quickly hired in 1950 as a Women's Editor and Society Editor. She continued this career until 1957.

In 1954, she was involved in a traffic accident which led to her meeting, a State Trooper who in 1956 became her husband!  Gloria retired to raise 3 children.

In 1972 she returned to the work force at Arden Hill Hospital in Goshen, New York and retired in 1996. For recreation she and her husband took up painting at the Art Studio in Newberry, New York. She became very skilled and many of her oil paintings were left in the Goshen Area. In 1991 with both she and Del fully retired they moved to the Stuart area in Florida. She is survived by her husband, 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
