Obituary of Grace Howard

Age 86 of Hobe Sound, Florida died on March 31, 2009 at the Treasure Coat Hospice. Mrs. Howard was born on April 7, 1922 in Ironton, Missouri to John William and Letha Maud (Kitchell) Thompson. She came to Florida in 1955 from Belgrade, MO and first resided in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and came to Hobe Sound, FL in 1973. She had worked as a Secretary/Bookkeeper most of her life. She loved her family and was truly loved by them. Mrs. Howard enjoyed working in her garden, taking care of her pond filled with coy fish. She had a great sense of humor, was an awesome cook and enjoyed her little Chihuahua her constant companion. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, William S. Howard.

Survivors include two sons, Robert J. Howard and daughter in law Sharyn of Jupiter, FL and Daniel L. Howard of Tampa, FL. Five grandchildren, David, Crissy, Donna, Lisa and Allen and five great-grandchildren, Danielle, Robert, Eddie, Samantha and Lilly. She is also predeceased by four brothers and sisters, Leva, Lila, Ernest and Clifford.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Forest Hills Palm City Chapel, 2001 SW Murphy Road, Palm City, FL 34990. A Graveside Committal will be held immediately follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
