Obituary of Haven Putnam
Haven Putnam, 94, of Palm City died February 21, 2011 at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart. He was born in New York, NY and had been a resident of Palm City since 2004. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII and received the Bronze Star, a Purple Heart and was awarded the Croix De Guerre. He was a member of the Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club and he was an Episcopalian.
He is survived by his sons, Haven Putnam Jr. of San Diego, CA, Rodney Putnam of Carpenteria, CA, David Putnam of Smyrna, GA and Stuart Putnam of Jupiter; daughter, Marguerite Ballantine of Amsterdam, Holland; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and caregivers, Jenifer Thomas, Beverley Palmer and Mona Cesar. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite in 2007 and two brothers.
Visitation: 9:30 - 10:00AM, Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
Service: 10:AM, , Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
Interment will follow immediately in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
