Obituary of Hazel Kane

Hazel M. Kane, 92, of Hobe Sound, died unexpectedly December 9, 2013 following a car accident. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing. She was born in Lakeville, Ohio, and had been a resident of Florida since 1968, having moved from Michigan. She retired from Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart after 12 years as a CNA. She also had worked for Mr. Roosevelt on Jupiter Island for many years. She was a charter member of the First United Methodist Church in Hobe Sound.

Hazel was a very loving and caring person. She lived her life for her family and her church, and was loved by everyone.

She is survived by her daughters; Beverly Grile (Larry) of Westfield, IN, Joyce Haimbaugh (Jack) of Niles, MI, Darlene Selent (Richard) of Hobe Sound, Barbara Carlson of Stuart and Judy Robertson of Stuart; son, Patrick Lee Kane of Stuart; 22 Grandchildren; 38 Great Grandchildren; 14 Great Great Grandchildren; sister, Margie Mainer (Robert) of MA; brother, Don Horner (Ann) of Hobe Sound and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Wayne "Sonny" Kane, brother, Clell Horner and a great granddaughter, Morgan Selent.

Visitation: 12:00PM - 1:00PM, Saturday, December 14, 2013, at First United Methodist Church in Hobe Sound.

Service: 1:00PM Saturday immediately following the visitation in the Church

Interment: Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, following the service.
