Helen Apa, 95, of Hobe Sound, FL passed away on February 18, 2021.

Helen was predeceased by her parents, Jerome and Margaret, her loving husband of 70 years, Frank Apa and two children Alan and Joseph Apa. She is survived by her four children, Sharon, Frank, Karen and Russell, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Helen was born in Elmont, NY on April 4, 1925. She worked as an operator with Bell Telephone with her sister Florence. During World War II, Helen worked for Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage, NY where she met Frank.  On February 24, 1951, they married. In the following nine years they welcomed six children, who were the most important part of her life.

Helen was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed camping and traveling across the US. She often enjoyed the challenges of a crossword puzzle, card playing with family and friends, and the one-arm bandits in the casino. After the children grew up and some moved away, Helen worked as a Real Estate Agent. She was a spiritual person with a devotion to the Catholic church and a proud member of Our Lady of Lourdes in Dunedin, FL.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 – 10 am, on Monday, 03/8/2021 at Forest Hills Palm City Chapel, Palm City. There will be a service at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church at 10 am. The Burial will immediately follow at Forest Hill Palm City Memorial Park, Palm City, FL.
