Helen Kuretski, 90, passed away on Friday, March 17th, 2023 in Port St. Lucie, Florida surrounded by her loved ones.

Helen was born October 21st, 1932 in New York to Arnold and Adele Riecken. She was the sassy younger sister to her brother, Arnie. Helen met and fell in love with her husband, James Kuretski, and together they created a lifetime of love and family. She was a loving mother to her seven children and their spouses - Marge (Hall), Chris, Jim (Terri), Doreen, John (SueMarie), Mary (Rob) and Karen (Sean); an adoring grandmother to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a loving dog mom to her faithful companion, Lady.

Helen was the strong and feisty leader to her loving family and gave them the greatest gift of all - each other. Her family was her greatest joy and she loved nothing more than to spend time with all of her loved ones. As much as she loved her family, she always made sure to keep them in line with a surprise "niblo" or a stray comment calling someone a "ninnynewts" or a "bimbo".

Helen loved to travel and explore the world, first with her husband, Jim, and then with her daughters, Marge and Chris, and Marge's husband, Hall. Throughout her many travels, she always loved to gamble and couldn't pass up hitting the casino and the slot machines. Some of her favorite trips, however, were the "Making Memories" trips she organized with her entire extended family.

Ohana means family; and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. Helen will never be forgotten and will continue to live on in the love of her family.

The funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 25th with visitation and services from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Hills Palm City Chapel, with the burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Treasure Coast Hospice in honor of Helen Kuretski is preferred.
