Born in Olean, New York, she lived in Palm City for 8 years coming from Scottsdale, Arizona.

Survivors include sons, David R. Pohndorf of Palm City, FL and Pottersville, New Jersey and Peter J. Pohndorf of Stillwater, MN; a sister Mary Hurd of Seattle, Washington ; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dr. Hugo Long and Richard Pohndorf.
