Helen L. Natoli
Helen L. Natoli, 96, of Sandhill Cove, Palm City, FL, died at the Harper House, Treasure Coast Hospice, in Stuart, on Sunday, June 5, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Pearl and Stanley German, New Tripoli, PA. She was of Pennsylvania Deutsch descent.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Henry during his childhood, first husband, Philip Platt, second husband, John Natoli. Helen's mother died when she was under 10, followed by her young brother. Unable to cope, Helen's father sent her to live with her Aunt Verna, who was raising 5 children.
She is survived by cousins and an AMAZING friend, Vicki Gehlert, whom words cannot describe the gratitude this family has for her help, love and assistance to Aunt Helen. She was affectionately referred to as "Aunt Honey" by her young relative. That brought her joy.
Helen was an RN,a graduate of Methodist Hospital Nursing School, Philadelphia, and received her Master's degree from Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. She joined the Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and was stationed at Patrick AFB in Cocoa Beach.
She moved from New York CIty to Florida in 1970. Helen travelled quite extensively after she retired.
Helen was active in the Eastern Star, DAR, and several other organizations.
Helen was widowed twice, and moved to Sandhill Cove after the death of her second husband. She kept active at Sandhill Cove.
Helen was a brilliant lady. She was charitable, kind, loving, kind to animals, benevolent.She had her beloved dog trained as a therapy dog. She crocheted hats for preemies. She donated to every raffle or fund raiser when asked. She was an avid reader. She donated to the scholarship fund at Sandhill Cove. She bought books for family members who attended college. She sent oranges and grapefruit to about 10 family members up north every winter. We will miss that Florida Sunshine!
Memorial Service will be announced in the upcoming weeks. Arrangements under the care of Forest Hills Funeral Home. Memorial contributions to Sandhill Cove Scholarship Fund, 1500 SW Capri St.Palm City. FL 34990, or Calvary Chapel, 1633 SW 34 th St, Palm City, Fl 34990, would be appreciated in Helen's memory.
