Helen Vagionis, age 79, of Palm City FL passed away on March 5, 2021. Helen was survived by her son Nick Vagionis, daughter Hope Woodend, son-in-law Morgan Woodend.and granddaughter Elle Woodend. She was predeceased by her husband Constantine Vagionis.
She was born August, 23rd, 1941 in New York, NY. Helen spent her early childhood in Astoria Queens and graduated from New York University with a bachelors in Education. She spent a short time as school teacher before she married the love of her life. Once married, they moved to Norwood NJ where she became part of the community in multiple ways. She was involved in PTA, the church and the many sports that her children participated in. In May of 2000, Helen and Connie moved to Palm City FL where once again they became entwined in their community and church.
Helen was an avid reader and enjoyed working at Executive Suites in Palm City. Helen always surrounded herself with family and friends and was the life of any gathering. She captivated her audiences with great stories, bad jokes and her never ending holiday accessories. Her presence will be missed by many.
Family and friends are invited to attend services on March 11, 2021 at Forest Hills Memorial Park & Palm City Chapel, 2001 SW Murphy Road, Palm City FL 34990. There will be a viewing from 10am-12pm, a service from 12pm-1pm and another viewing from 4-6pm.
In Lieu of flowers, the family would like to set up an Education Fund for her Granddaughter, Elle Woodend. Any donations can be made out to Elle Woodend and mailed to 119 Raven Court, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
