Obituary of Henry Dunck, Sr.

Henry Thomas Dunck Sr., 95, of Palm City, Florida, died January 28, 2015 at the Treasure Coast Hospice Hay-Madeira House, Stuart, Florida.

Born in Belleville, Illinois, he had been a resident of Palm City for a year coming from the Cypress in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Mr. Dunck served in the U.S. Army during World War II attaining the rank of colonel and served over 20 years in the Army Reserve. He received a bachelor's degree from Washington University, St. Louis, MO.

Prior to retirement he was the Chairman of the Board of American Savings Bank.

He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Charlotte.

Survivors include his sons, H. Thomas Dunck Jr. and his wife Jane Dunck of Williamsburg, VA and Rodney Dunck and his wife Mary Martin Dunck of Hutchinson Island, FL; grandchildren, Shelley Silverman and her husband, Craig Silverman of River Forest, IL, Lori Turochy and her husband Ryan Turochy of Richmond, VA, Elizabeth Hayes of Mount Pleasant, SC, Matthew Dunck of Stuart, FL and Clayton Dunck of West Palm Beach, FL and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Dunck and his brother, Richard Dunck..

Services and burial will be in Matthews, NC under the direction of the Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn East Memorial Park.

Local arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City.
