Obituary of Henry Sampson
Henry J. Sampson Sr., 88, of Lantana, FL formerly of Port St. Lucie, FL, died June 4, 2014 at the Delray Medical Center, Delray, FL. Born in Edwardsville, PA, he had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 30 years.
Before retiring he had been a retail salesman and had worked for Pepsico and Sears. He had been a member of St. Lucie Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie for 30 years where he had been very active.
Survivors include wife of 65 years, Jean Sampson of Lantana; sons, Kevin Sampson Sr. and his wife Cathy of Boynton Beach, FL, Henry J. Sampson Jr. and his wife Maria of Oak Park, IL, William K. Sampson and his wife Peggy of Blairsville, GA and James Sampson of Wray, GA; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Shawn P. Sampson.
SERVICES: Visitation will be on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City with a vigil prayer service at 6:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at St. Lucie Catholic Church with interment following in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
