OBITUARY - HOWARD GIBBONS

On May 9th, 2021, Howard Gibbons passed away at the age of 88.

Howard was born on August 11, 1932 in Prattville, AL to Edmond and Cynthia Jones Gibbons.  After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Air Force. After serving his country, he earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama. He resided in Palm City, FL for 51 years. Howard worked as a Human Resources Administrator for Pratt Whittney Aircraft in Palm Beach County, FL for 30 years before his retirement. He then worked at Rare Earth Pottery in Stuart, FL for 27 years, enjoying his passion for clay, pottery and the arts. He would say that was play, rather than work.

Howard is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Wright Gibbons and his two brothers, Corky and Clarence Gibbons.

Howard will be so missed by his family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Prattville Memory Gardens at 2:00 P.M., on Sunday, May 16, 2021, in Prattville, AL.
