Obituary

Irwin (Cy) Louis Seidel, 91, of Stuart, Florida, passed away Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026 surrounded by loved ones.

He was born to the late Cecilia and Irwin Seidel on October 27th 1934. As a young kid he managed a gas station along with helping his grandfather on the family farm.

He graduated from Miami University with a Masters in Business administration.

He joined the Air Force Reserve in 1956 and became Captain in 1963. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1967.

His zest for learning would be a lifelong passion. If he wasn't learning something, he wanted to teach someone, so much that he taught college Calculus in his spare time. He also became a private pilot instructor for single engine aircraft in 1977, while living in Virginia, and loved taking his family on vacations in his Cessna. There were lots of trips to see family back in Ohio and all over the US including Hawaii.

He worked for the Department of Defense until his retirement at age 55. He and his family moved to Florida and loved the boating life, so much so that he taught boating courses in Stuart as a member of the Power Squadron. He was a loyal member of the Stuart Corinthian Yacht Club for many years.

He was a man's man who was everyone's friend and will be remembered for the the best parties, the craziest stories, and his love of life when surrounded by his family, friends, and long time best friend, John Pierson.

He was predeceased in death by his first wife of 42 years, Suzonne Conley, and his second wife, who he was with for 22 years, Janet Manino-Ens.

He is survived by his loving children, Lori, Chas and Lisa Parr. His five great-grandchildren, Alexis McCormick, Derek Jones, Conner, Amyra, and Melodee McEntee. He is also survived by his extended family, Dee, Joseph, Myranda Ens, and of course his best bud Cassie Moore, that lovingly refer to him as 'Ahby'.

He is survived by his sister Mary Long, along with many nieces and nephews from Suzonne's family as well.

A visitation will be on Thursday, June 11th, 2026 pm from 5 - 7 pm at Forest Hills Funeral Home - Palm City Chapel, 2001 SW Murphy Road, Palm City, FL 34990. A Funeral Service will take place on June 12th, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home followed by interment at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
