Isis Reid, daughter of the late David and Violet Petinuard Clarke of Jamaica departed this life on Monday, June 8, 2020 at home. Isis was born November 18,1919 iin Kingston Jamaica. Isis started running in school at the age of fourteen. During her athletic career, she represented her native Jamaica in Panama and Columbia and became the first person to hold the championship for ten years.
Isis migrated and resided in the United States for over sixty years. She was employed as a court assistant and became chairperson of the Criminal Courts Chapter of Judicial Conference and County Employees Local #1070.
Isis was a member of the First Congregation Church where she worshiped for many years.
Isis is preceded in death by her husband Fred Reid; her parents David & Violet Clarke; three brothers, Mortimer, Vernon & Lorin. Two sons, Richard and Carlton. Isis is survived by her brother David Clarke and sister-in-law Beverly; granddaughter, Deborah; grandson, Delroy, four great grandchildren several nieces, nephews, lots close friends including Gloria and last but not least Toney and Ingrid who had her back.
