Obituary of Jacqueline Colyer

Jacqueline M. Colyer, 84, of Port St. Lucie, FL, went to be with The Lord Sunday, May 25, 2014. Born in Louisville, KY, she had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 23 years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Robert Colyer of Port St. Lucie; her son, Mark Colyer and his wife Diane of Cary, NC; her daughters, Janis Henning and her husband Wayne of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Sheryl Granger and her husband Richard of Vero Beach, FL; her grandchildren, John Henning and his wife Cristina, Brett Colyer, Ashley Colyer, Laura Walsh and her husband Sean and Denise Kent and her husband Randall; her great grandchildren, Emma, Kyle, Connor, Aaron, Mason, Griffin and Madison and a brother Rusty Ferguson and a sister Dolores Walter. She was preceded in death by six siblings.

Before retiring Jackie had been a salesperson for the Martin Paper Company in Miami for 20 years. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Port St. Lucie, the DAV Women's Auxiliary and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Most importantly, Jackie was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother and will be dearly missed on earth after going home to be with The Lord.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City with a funeral service at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Bryan Herrington of First Baptist Church of Port St. Lucie will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
