Obituary of James Carroll

James W. Carroll, 88, of Stuart, Florida, died May 7, 2012 at Good Samaritan Medical Center, West Palm Beach, Florida.

Born in Macon, Georgia, he had been a resident of Stuart for 37 years and West Palm Beach for 15 years coming to Florida from Auburn, Alabama.

During World War II, he served in the US Army in Europe.

Prior to retiring, he was the owner of Rapid Print and Copy Center for 24 years and Martin County Cleaners for 10 years, both in Stuart.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Stuart

Survivors include daughters, Sandra Stevens of Opelika, Alabama and Deborah Raber of West Palm Beach; a son James Terry Carroll of West Palm Beach; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; step-daughter, Ruth Greenway of Stuart and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives, Sarah Carroll and Ruth Carroll; his daughter Marjorie Miller; step-daughter, Robin Mills and sisters, Viola Mae Terrwilliger and Hazel Rusling.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 PM on May 9, 2012, at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Palm City Chapel with a prayer service at 1:00 PM immediately followed by interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
