James DeBoer, age 22, of Charlotte, NC, the youngest son of Dan and Sharon DeBoer of Jensen Beach, FL, passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2026. Born in Bradenton, FL, James lived most of his life with his family in Crystal River, FL; Lancaster, PA; Palm City, FL; Green Bay, WI; and Jensen Beach, FL. He graduated from Jensen Beach High School and Full Sail University (Orlando) with his Bachelor’s Science in Recording Arts. James had a love for music and developed an amazing talent as an audio/video technician for CO-DA, an audio visual concepts and design company in the Charlotte, NC area.
James was a son with a passion and love for his family, friends, and his music, building a collection of audio mixing and recording equipment and guitars that he would play daily. He enjoyed travel to Europe and the Mediterranean with his family and had a special love for the beauty and history of Ireland. He also had a nurturing love for animals, especially his pet white dove that he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents Dan and Sharon, James is survived by his four siblings, Rebecca DeBoer of Austin, TX; Chris DeBoer (Ava Rosselle) of Orlando, FL; Matthew DeBoer of Orlando, FL; and Rachael DeBoer of Los Angeles, CA.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 4 to 6 pm at Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stuart at 12:00 pm, with a private burial immediately following at Forest Hills Cemetery.
