IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James A
Manning
October 8, 1958 – January 3, 2025
On Friday, January 3, 2025, James (Jim/Jimmy) Manning, a loving father and husband, passed away at the age of 66. Though he may no longer be with us, Jimmy's legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will forever remain in our hearts. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
Jim/Jimmy was born in New York, NY but called Stuart, FL his home for 47 years. Jim and his father started Manning Painting in 1979, after graduation and moving from New York. He loved his self-taught profession. His excitement and passion quickly spread to his daughter, Madison. Together, they enjoyed working side by side for the last five years, expanding the business to a third generation. In his down time, Jim enjoyed trips to their vacation home near Knoxville, TN with his wife and extended family. Jimmy has been an avid bowler since 1980 and was inducted into the Martin County Bowling Association Hall of Fame on April 10, 2005.
Jimmy was a kind and generous man who lived life with a smile in his eyes and his heart on his sleeve. Jimmy was a cherished husband and father whose presence enriched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. His generous spirit and unwavering support created a haven for those in need, making him a true pillar of strength in our community. With a heart full of love and laughter for us all, he dedicated himself to his family, prioritizing their happiness and well-being.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy M Manning and father, James A Manning. He is survived by his wife Merribeth Yates Manning; daughter Madison (Skyler) Matlock; and brothers and sisters, Robert (Susan) Manning; Marianne Weiss; Dee Manning; Patrick Manning; further survived by many nieces (his girls) and nephews (his sons), other family and friends.
