Obituary for James Dean Meyer

James Dean Meyer, born on October 13, 1961, in Jasper, Indiana, peacefully passed away on January 13, 2024, in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends during his final moments.

James was the beloved son of Ruth (Max) Smith and the late Maurice Meyer. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jason Meyer. James will be forever missed and cherished by his wife, Angela Meyer, and their children: son Joseph (Kristy) Meyer, who blessed him with a cherished granddaughter, Emma; daughter Krystal Almonte; and son Frank LoGrasso.

In addition to his immediate family, James is survived by his sister, Angie Carter, and his brother, Dan Meyer. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large extended family who loved him dearly.

As an extremely successful business owner of J&J Motorsports (Jasper, Indiana) and A&J Motorsports (Port St. Lucie, Florida) James was a kind-hearted and generous man who touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He had a passion for helping others and was always willing to lend a helping hand. James believed that the key to a fulfilling life was found in creating meaningful connections with others,
and he lived by this philosophy every day.

Throughout his life, James embraced many roles, with his family always at the center of his world. As a husband, he was devoted and loving, supporting Angela through thick and thin. As a father, he was a source of guidance, strength, and unwavering love. James was incredibly proud of his children's accomplishments, and he took joy in witnessing their journeys and successes.

James love and compassion extended beyond his immediate family. He was a source of comfort and support for his friends, always ready to offer a listening ear or a shoulder to lean on. His charismatic personality and infectious laughter lit up any room he entered, leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to have known him.

James Dean Meyer will forever be remembered as a remarkable individual who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, compassion, and kindness will continue to inspire and guide us as we navigate life's challenges.

May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory be a comfort to all who mourn his loss.

There will be a memorial service at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 27th at the Forest Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Palm City, FL.
