Obituary of James Porter
James C. "Pat" Porter, 73, of Stuart, formerly of Palm City, passed away June 6, 2009, at Martin Memorial Medical Center, in Stuart. He was born in Dublin, GA and had lived Palm City-Stuart area for 44 years, having moved from Vero Beach. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean War. He worked for Grumman Aircraft for 30 years, as a manufacturing engineer. He was a member of the Life Quest Church in Palm City, and the #1282 Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judith Porter of Stuart; daughters, Rhonda Janssen of Greenville, SC, Vicki Hill of Palm City, and Cheri Lofton of Port St. Lucie; brother, Richard Porter of Palm Beach Gardens; and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie Lofton.
Visitation will be 10:00AM - 12 Noon, Tuesday at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
Funeral service will be Noon, Tuesday in the chapel
Interment will follow immediately in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
