James F. Sharkey, loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, 93, of Palm City, passed away June 9th, 2016 at his residence.
He was born in Boston, Massachusetts and had been a resident of Palm City since 1989, having moved from Holmdel, NJ.
He was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy.
He had been the director of pricing with Sealand Services, Inc and later with United States Line before retirement.
He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and Monarch Country Club.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Alice V. Sharkey of Palm City; daughter, Kathleen F. Selby (Douglas) of Palm City; grandsons, James Selby and Thomas Q. Selby of Palm City; nephew, John Lemos (Donna) of Seekonk, MA and nieces Maura Capriccio (Lewis) of Westford, MA and Maura Nelson (Ken) of Breckenridge, CO.
Visitation: 6:00 ~ 7:00PM, Monday, June 13th, 2016 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm CIty Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 14th, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City.
Entombment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City
