Obituary of James Smith
James "Jimbo" Smith 45 of Lake Okeechobee, died November 22, 2010 at Martin Memorial Hospital South. Jimbo was born in Michigan City, IN on June 12, 1965 and had been a resident of Okeechobee since 1993. Jimbo is a Firefighter/EMT for Martin County Fire Rescue where he provided 25 years of dedicated service . He's currently a member of the Family Worship Center of Indiantown.
Jimbo is survived by his wife of 19 years, Melissa Smith of Okeechobee; his mother, Louise Smith of Indiantown; his sister, Andrea Bourgault of Indiantown, two daughters by marriage, Lori Jacquin of Ft. Pierce and Shannon Gagliardi of Okeechobee; four grandchildren, three nephews and one niece. He is preceded in death by his father, Bruce Smith and his brother, Wayne Smith.
A gathering for friends and family will be held 6 - 8 PM, Friday, November 26, 2010 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM, at the Family Worship Center of Indiantown, with Pastor Bruce Butler officiating.
