James Joseph Whalen, 85, died July 17, 2025 in Stuart, FL.

He was predeceased by his infant son John and by his daughter Suzanne.  He is survived by his wife Pat and his children James, Mary Franklin, Peter, Christopher, and Jenny Brown and 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Jim had an illustrious career at Colgate Palmolive Company for more than 38 years where he started in the Mail Room and retired as Director of Management Information Systems.  Along the way, he shifted from basketball to golf with memberships at Jumping Brook in Neptune, NJ, Battleground Country Club in Manalapan, NJ, and The Yacht and Country Club in Stuart, FL.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew, Cove Rd., Stuart on July 22 at 10:00.  A memorial service will be held in NJ at a later date. Jim joins many friends who he hoped would save him a seat.
