Janet Mary Chrenko, 93, of Palm City, died Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

She was born to the late Emil and Mary Schneider on February 9, 1933 in New York, New York. She grew up in a lively Upper East Side apartment, always full of family and friends. She graduated from Julia Richman High School in Manhattan in 1951. Janet was a devoted wife to Albert Chrenko, who died in 2015.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Janice Cloidt, and son, Al Chrenko, and her four grandchildren, Megan, Alex, Evan, and Kyra.

Janet was known for being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a devoted friend to many along her path of life. She was known for her feisty personality and always spoke her mind.

A mass and ceremony will be held at Ascension Cemetery in Airmont, New York on Saturday, May 30 at 11 AM.
