Obituary of Janet Conklin
Janet F. Conklin, 85, died Sunday, February 24, 2008 at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port Saint Lucie.
Born July 5, 1922 in West Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Charles I. French and Marion French Blake. She moved to Port Saint Lucie in 1988 from West Haven.
She was a retired secretary and had worked for the New Haven Railroad and Conklin and Sherman Company of Milford, CT.
She was a former member of Christ Church in West Haven; St. Peters Church in Milford and St. Marys Episcopal Church in Stuart, FL.
She was a graduate of West Haven High School, Class of 1941.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Alfred A. Conklin, Jr., of Port Saint Lucie; son, Alfred A. Conklin, III , and wife Barbara of Plymouth, NH; daughters, Gail C. Novotny, and husband, Edward of Bennington, NH; Karen L. Monaco, and husband, Richard, of Port Saint Lucie; brother, Robert French of Port Saint Lucie; step-sister, Virginia Sharrock of North Truro, MA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends
She was preceded in death by her step-brother, Walter Blake, Jr.

Services: Memorial Services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, February 29, 2008 at The Cove in Savannah Club, Port Saint Lucie. Inurnment will be at a later date in Church of the Holy Spirit Garden of Remembrance in West Haven, CT.
