Janet Hunt nee Albers, 88, of Palm City, FL, passed away on April 10, 2019 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Harper House, Stuart, FL. She was born in Cliffside Park, NJ and had been a resident of Palm City, FL after relocating from Whitehouse Station, NJ.

Janet was a career woman in an era when women were housewives.  She was the Controller of Kittay and Blitz for 25 years when the company shut their doors.  Rather than retiring, she went out and learned how to use a personal computer and the software Lotus so she could continue working in a similar capacity.  She spent the next 20 years as a Controller for Gay Boyer and Associates.  Finally, at the age of 79 she decided to retire.

Janet loved her family very much and worked so hard to insure she and her husband had a good retirement while also leaving her family provided for.  She is predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Hunt. They would have been married 65 years on April 25 ^th .  She is survived by her only child, Debbie Johnstone and her son-in-law, which is the son she never had and sits proudly on top of her totem pole, Guy Johnstone.  The light of her life and the feature in her brag book, is her granddaughter Alyssa Johnstone. Alyssa inherited "Nani's"  business acumen and work ethic and that is the reason she has reached success at an early age.  She is also survived by her sister, Joan Washofer of Hawthorne, NJ.  She was predeceased by her parents, William and Margaret Albers.

A viewing will be held at 12:00 on Friday, April 12 ^th followed by a service at 1:00 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel.

Entombment will follow immediately in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
