Jean Marie
Ferreira
May 18, 1964 – November 26, 2020
Jean Marie Ferreira, loving wife and mother of two daughters, passed away on November 26, 2020 at the age of 56.
Jean was born in Hartford Connecticut on May 18, 1964. She spent her adolescent years excelling in school and being an active participant in countless organizations and clubs. Jean married her high school sweetheart, Paul, on June 14, 1986. And in 1994, Jean and her family moved from CT to South Florida.
Jean had a passion for education and was an incredible mentor, to students and teachers alike, throughout her career. She spent 18 years teaching 4th grade at J.D. Parker Elementary School. She then went on to become Assistant Principal of Warfield Elementary School for her last 7 years. During this time she not only dedicated countless hours to her students and peers, but also continued her own education and achieved a dual Masters Degree from Florida Atlantic University.
Jean was known for her bold personality and infectious smile. She had the voice of an angel and was a powerhouse performer, featured in many shows at Starstruck Performing Arts Center here in Stuart.
Jean was a kind and compassionate spirit. She would drop anything to be there for those she loved. She enjoyed traveling and loved any time she could get with extended family and friends. But nothing made her happier than the simple moments spent with her husband, daughters, loving dog Beau, and her 2 grand-dogs Payton and Lila, who were all the center of her world.
Jean was preceded in death by her father, Anthony and her mother, Laura. She is survived by her husband Paul, her two daughters Jessica and Courtney, her brother Tony, sister-in-law Belma, nieces Melanie (Nesprido), Kelly (Snyder) and Andrea (Montovani). And many great nieces, nephews, and cousins that loved her dearly.
The family asks that In lieu of flowers, donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, an organization that Jean held close to her heart.
