Jeannette Frazier Butcher, 70, died July 30, 2009 at Life Care Center in Port St. Lucie

She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and lived in Stuart since 1983, coming from Boca Raton, Florida.

She was a graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia, Missouri where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority.

She was active in many community and charitable organizations and has served on the board of directors of; Safe Space, Second Sight, YMCA and the Boca Raton Academy. She was instrumental in organizing the Stuart Area Alumnae Panhellenic Association and the Stuart area Delta Delta Delta Alumni organization. She was a member of PEO. She was an avid Bridge player and teacher.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years Larry Butcher of Stuart; sons, Brad Butcher of Tampa, FL and Steve Butcher of Stuart, FL; sister; Shirley McKitterick, of Laguna Niguel, CA; and 4 grandchildren.

SERVICES: A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church at 1500 South Kanner Hwy., in Stuart. Arrangements are by Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, FL
