Obituary of Jeanne Curtiss

Jeanne Curtiss, 91, of Stuart, FL, died April 11, 2014 in her home. She was born in Columbia Township, Indiana and had been a resident of Stuart for over 29 years, coming from Coral Gables, Florida.

Upon moving to Florida, she became an accomplished hair stylist, earning several awards and trophies. While working in Miami, Jeanne met and married Glenn Curtiss Jr. After his death, she became a philanthropist, contributing to many charitable organizations. She has been a major contributor to the Glenn Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, New York as well as a generous donor to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast.

Jeanne was a member of the Women's Club of Stuart, the Garden Club and for many years was a docent at the Court House Cultural Center in Stuart.

She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Curtiss Jr.
