IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jerome K
Jackson
February 13, 1936 – November 14, 2022
Jerome K. Jackson, of Palm City, Fl, was born in Chicago, IL on February 13, 1936, and passed into the presence of the Lord on November 14, 2022.
As a boy, Jerome became an avid fisherman when the family moved to Cedar Lake, IN. As a teen, he worked at the Christian Conference Grounds, where he met his wife, Harriet Schuldt. They were married 65 years ago, on August 24, 1957.
Jerome earned his BS degree from Ouachita Baptist College in Arkadelphia, AR, in May of 1957.
In the next years, he and Harriet became parents seven times. Their first baby, Yvonne, died at birth. They were so very thankful to the Lord for their children, Yvonne, Daniel, Sandra, Pamela and triplet sons, Jerry, Berry and Kerry.
His occupations included teaching High School as a substitute, selling autos, keeping books, and owning and managing his furniture store, Four Seasons Shop, in Blue Island, IL and Littleton, CO.
Jerome gave his heart and life to the Lord Jesus Christ as a teen at the Tabernacle meetings at Cedar Lake Conference Grounds. In 1976 the Lord called him into the ministry, and he served as a Christian and Missionary Alliance Pastor in Kalispell, MT, Belgrade, MT, Port St. Lucie, FL, Largo, FL, and interim Pastor at Daytona Beach, FL. After retiring, Jerome and Harriet led Sunday School classes, led Bible studies, held Vacation Bible Schools in their garage 13 years, and held neighborhood hayrides, carol sings, and "Walk to Bethlehem" in their yard for fifteen years.
Jerome has been a member of New Hope Fellowship Church and has served there as a teacher and Bible study leader for the past twenty years.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet, his children, Daniel (Liz), Sandra (Paul Flick), Pam (Jerry Retzloff), Jerry (Kristine), Berry (Tammy), Kerry (Christin), twenty-one grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three more on the way.
Although grieving because we will miss him so much, we KNOW he is in Heaven with Jesus and are waiting until we meet again at Jesus' feet.
