Obituary of Jerome North

Mr. Jerome "Jerry" North, 91, of Lake Wales, FL died on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at his home.

He was born into the Jewish faith on July 20, 1921 in Bronx, NY and moved to Lake Wales ten years ago from Palm City, FL. He retired from the fashion industry as a CEO in the Garment District in Manhattan. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a Captain in WW II. He was an avid golfer and reader.

He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn H. Ennis-North; daughter-in-law, Patricia North; son-in-law, John Pappas; four grandchildren, Candice (Keith) Poliakoff of Hollywood, FL; Cassandra (Matthew) Singer of Manhattan, NY; Louis Pappas of Washington, D.C; Alexis Pappas of Alameda, CA; and three great grandsons. Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Roberta Pappas, and his son, Edward North.

Graveside services and interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City at the convenience of the family.
