Obituary of Joan Vogel

Joan Vogel, 78 of Palm City, FL, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Martin Medical Center, Stuart, FL.

Born in Cincinnati, OH, she had been a resident of Palm City for 8 years coming from Ormond Beach, FL. She relocated to Florida from her birthplace.

Prior to retirement she was the supervisor of veteran's affairs at Daytona State College for over 20 years.

She was a volunteer with the Martin County Board of Elections.

Survivors include daughters, Karrie Chapman of Palm City and Kim Vogel-Leavens of Oshkosh, WI; a son Ken Vogel of New Smyrna Beach, FL; grandchildren, Benjamin Peter Jones, Levi Jordan Jones, Samantha Pearl Leavens, Danielle Vogel Littrell, Kristin Lee Vogel, Brittany Dawn Vogel, and Elizabeth Anne Vogel and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Haney.

SERVICES: There will be a memorial service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2014 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel.
