JoAnn Pierno, 62, of Port St. Lucie, passed away November 3, 2016 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 29 years, having moved from Queens, NY. She attended St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie.

JoAnn loved spending most of her time with her family, especially her son, daughter and grandchildren. She loved her pets, and genuinely, loved life itself.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Louie Pierno of Port St. Lucie; son, Freddie Pierno of New York; daughter, Elizabeth Giancontieri (Steve) of Port St. Lucie; mother, Elizabeth Catalano of Port St. Lucie; grandchildren, Steven Giancontieri, Gianna Giancontieri and Luciano Giancontieri; and brothers, Michael Catalano, George Catalano and Steven Catalano all of Port St. Lucie. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Catalano.

Visitation: 1 - 4:00 PM and 6 - 8:00 PM, Monday, November 7, 2016 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in St. Lucie West.
