Obituary of Joanne Barbera
Joanne Barbera, 87, of Palm City, Florida, died May 26, 2008 at her home.
Born in Paceo, Sicily, she had been a resident of Palm City for 18 years coming from East Northport, NY.
She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City and had attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in East Northport.
Survivors include her husband, Peter Barbera of Palm City; sons Anthony Barbera of Huntington, NY and John Barbera of Coram, NY; a daughter Nanette Hardecker of Port St. Lucie; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter in law. Jane Barbera.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Forest Hill Funeral Home, Palm City with a vigil prayer service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will be also in East Northport May 30, 2008 at the Brueggemann Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated May 31, 2008 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, East Northport followed by interment in Genola Cemetery, East Northport.
For those who wish, contributions may be made to the Hospices of the Treasure Coast, 1201 Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34996 in Mrs. Barberas memory.
