IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John "Jay"
Belichick
October 23, 1942 – October 10, 2024
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of John "Jay" Belichick age 81 of Stuart Florida on October 10th. John was born on October 23rd, 1942, in Struthers, Ohio.
He lived a full and vibrant life marked by his strong work ethic, devotion to family and passion for the things that brought him joy.
John moved to Florida where he became a well-known and beloved figure in his local community. He was a man of great character-generous, thoughtful, and quick to offer a helping hand to friends and family. His quiet strength and warm presence will be deeply missed by all who know him.
John attended Ohio University and other universities to further his education. He was an expert in his field working as a certified investigator and fraud examiner for over 60 years. He had a deep appreciation for football, relaxing days on his pontoon boat, reading especially American history books, and discussing politics with his friends and family.
Above all John was a devoted family man. He leaves behind his wife Candace, daughter Jacquie Golly and husband Jay Golly, sister Patricia Belichick, brother Bob Belichick, stepson Mike Miller and wife Gere, stepson Mark Miller and wife Jennifer. His grandsons Logan and Ryan were his biggest pride and joy. He will be remembered with love by his many friends, colleagues and all who were fortunate to know him.
John is preceded in death by parents Amelia and Joseph Belichick, twin brother Joe and first wife Dorothy.
A memorial service will be held on October 28 at 2pm at Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City, Florida. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers in his honor.
John's passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew him, but his legacy of kindness, integrity, and love will continue to inspire and comfort those he leaves behind. https://dogood.t2t.org/campaign/john-jay-belichicks-memorial-supporting-tunnel-to-towers-2024/c630781
